Tim Berners-Lee
Born: June 8th 1955
Biography
Tim Berners-Lee, ranked 1st in the list of Telegraphs 100 living geniusesis, the inventor of the World Wide Web. Lee invented the internet while working at CERN in 1989, in order to effectively share research information and files with other scientists. Lee effectively connected the first client server in 1990. Lee graduated from Oxford and served as a Professor of Engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Less also directs W3C, the World Wide Web Consortium.
